Centre of Excellence in Research - EcolChange: Ecology of Global Change: Natural and Managed Ecosystems

The Centre of Excellence EcolChange is created in cooperation of two universities, Estonian University of Life Sciences (one top research team) and University of Tartu (four top research teams and an individual researcher). The research of the Centre of Excellence covers the field of global change ecology from molecular to biome-level responses. Head of the Centre is Professor Ülo Niinemets, ylo.niinemets@emu.ee , Estonian University of Life Sciences.

For research is in the Centre of Excellence during 7 years (March 1, 2016 - March1, 2023) allocated 4 436 585,27 euros, of which 4 214756 euros (95%) is funded by European Regional Development Fund. 

The EcoclChange is one of nine Centres of Excellence in Research in Estonia.
