Plant ecophysiology and atmosphere-biosphere interactions

In the Ecophysiology lab it is possible to measure the most important ecophysiological parameters of plants (photosynthesis, chlorophyll fluorescence, stomatal behaviour) both in the laboratory and field conditions. The measurements allow to get information on the plants response to environmental drivers, biotic and abiotic stress and study mechanisms of adaptation. The available equipment includes state-of-the-art systems for monitoring the carbon gain and energy (light) capture of plants, their leaf structure, gene expression, constitutive and stress elicited trace gas emissions from the plant.
